1963 - Established.
Started the manufacture of Electrical Tranmission Line
Hardware like 'U'-Bolts and Nuts, Cross Arms, Clamps, Grills for RCC
Poles, etc. 1969 -
Enters Automobile Industry Started
the manufacture of Auto spare parts like King Pins,
Gudgeon (Piston) Pins, Wheel Bolts and Nuts, Clutch and Brake Pedal Shafts
and Water Pump Shafts. All the products were marketed under the trade name
of DSM by the leading Southern Indian Auto parts maker M/s
T. V. Sundaram Iyengar and Sons Limited, Madurai through their Auto parts
network.
Having been established as one of the most hi-quality and high precision
machine shop in South India, DSM was invited to manufacture very high
precision components used in critical areas such as Satellites and Launch
Vehicles, and in Oil field exploration equipments according to stringent
customer specifications, inspected and approved by third party agencies.
To this day, DSM Industries Trichy continues to custom manufacture
components using the state-of-the-art machinery to customer satisfaction.
1971 - Makes foray
into Boilers Parts
As a further measure of diversification, DSMIT
started the manufacture of Hi-Tensile fasterners made to ASTM A193-B7 and
ASTM A194-2H specifications. Manufacture of stainless steel fasteners made
out of AISI 304/310/316/416, etc. were taken up to cater to the needs of
Manufacturers of Boilers, Pressure Vessels, Valves, Safety Valves, Soot
Blowers and Oil Field Equipment. This is still one of DSMIT's leading line
of Products.
Currently - Using
Technology to meet human needs - Water and Health Care
Water Pumps - As the latest addition to
the line of products, DSM Industries Trichy started the manufacture of
Deep Well Hand Pumps, popularly known as
India Mark II pumps, according to Indian Standards IS:9301:1990.
These pumps are extensively used in providing water supply to rural areas.
UNICEF has approved of this pump design for use in African and Asian Nations
and finances the purchase of the pumps.
Intensive Care Unit Furniture
- With another major diversification,
DSMIT started the manufacture of Hi-Lo Intensive Care Unit Stainless
Steel Cots. These highly rugged mechanical beds have proved to be very
successful in the Intensive Care Units of major hospitals and emergency
rooms throughout the country.
